Story

She wished he would tell her he loved her. That she was the brightest star in his night sky. The only one he longed for when he went to bed each night. That she was the one persistent thought that consumed him through the day.

She could describe him with many words, but verbose wasn’t one of them. And although she knew she talked enough for them both, she sometimes wished he would just tell her what she longed to hear.

That evening, he surprised her at work, whisking her away for a quiet dinner at her favourite restaurant. It was a warm night and the scent of fresh blooms perfumed the air between them. Gazing into her eyes, he raised a toast to them both, “Entre deux cœurs qui s’aiment, nul besoin de paroles.”

The words were by Marceline Desbordes-Valmore, the first Romantic poet, but they rang just as true – two hearts in love need no words.

Description

Handloom cotton is handwoven by our weavers on mechanical looms. The process is time and labour-intensive, using techniques that have been passed down across generations of artisans. The resultant fabric is extraordinarily soft, breathable and resilient, and also drapes very well. Using handloom cotton not only helps us to work with smaller weavers but also plays an important role in reducing the environmental footprint of the garments we produce.
